Living it to the full in a single day...

I always wonder why people make castles in the air, while they leave other better things to do. I wonder so because I am one among such people. But I think my case is a little bit different. I go even beyond. I even analyze the consequences of my castle making. What if I am able to earn a noble prize next year, or may be what will my hostel mates think if I introduce them to my date Katrina Kaif. Well, I think this is probably the height of “Wasting Time”. But I still continue with one of my best time passing activity. The even exciting part is that I keep on complaining to myself that I have got so little time. Well this reminds me of one of the most hectic days of my life. Probably the most exciting and eventful I have ever lived which I was surely missing before I joined the college.

Well the day began with the normal kick up starts. By kick up start, I mean to say that your friends wake you up by kicking so hard that you can’t resist abusing them, even though you were on the other side of the table the day before. Well had to dress up quickly for the classes and guess what, it was a Friday. So it had to be a tough schedule. Lectures were from 8 to 11, so I preferred to enjoy my 15 second breakfast which is not at all unusual. After the classes, which probably I passed taking naps in between; I had to rush to hostel to fetch my practical note book. Yeah!! I had PHP100, 1 to 5. Now you know why Friday was a tough scheduled day. In between I had to eat the so called lunch, as I had no other options due to scarcity of time. (Had to complete previous practical as well) Surprisingly, it was the first time PHP consumed all 4 hours. I had to perform the 6th experiment in Electrical Lab, the toughest one as suggested by everyone. But no problems, you definitely get used to this as time progresses.

Already tired, (Oh!! I forgot to mention, I slept at 5 o’clock the previous night due to the inter hostel street play practice sessions, seniors didn’t have any pity on us) I decided to play some online chess games to warm up for the inter hostel chess event. Yeah!! I was representing Shivalik House in Chess. It was 6:30, I guess, when I decided to return to the hostel where again we discussed street play. I was surely fascinated by my role of Lord Voldemort who had Harry Potter as his child labour. And guess what, Shaktiman had to come and rescue Harry. Wasn’t it hilarious? The whole street play team , Josh, was excited about the next day when we had to finally perform. So no mercy expected from seniors till the coming dawn. I had to do with dinner quickly as chess event was about to begin .

It was a fine day, Shivalik crushed, yeah literally crushed all the three opponents, Satpura, Karakoram and Kailash winning 7 games out of 8. (I won 3 off 3) Well, the excitement was on its peak as we reached semi finals directly. Overjoyed by our success at chess, I rushed for the street play rehearsals. It was 1:45 by then, I dressed up quickly. But hold on where was everyone? Why is no one practicing? Goodness! Seniors called off Shivalik entry in the street play due to some unavoidable reasons. I wasn’t able to digest this decision, but my success at chess surely minimized the emotional outburst which my fellow mates must have got when the decision was made. I felt sorry for each and every member of Josh. We sat in the hostel reading room. Time passed on as we discussed the things which we didn’t really wished to discuss. It was surely much exhausting, so we finally decided to call it off for the day at 5 o’clock. Next day was Saturday and we unfortunately were not performing. We didn’t know the answer “Is sab ka Doshi Kaun?” So it was time to unintentionally make the castles in the air in the so called dreams…

  2. Well, first of all thanks a lot for writing such a nice comment. As I am in the beginning phases of a writer, i appreciate comments which are rather written as comments from the critics, telling me the areas where I should improve. And that is the reason I was delighted to read your comment. Well the main reason, why my blog was confusing, is that I could not find out a good heading for it. I wanted to quote one of my days on which I experienced both happiness and sadness. And this day was one of those rare ones. I probably think what I missed was a better elaboration of both these aspects. I neither explained my chess success, neither the street play incidents. The ending was rather abrupt. I felt so while reading the blog again. Will take care of such things in my coming posts. And yeah I would always take comments from you in the right spirit, cause I know that you and the big boss(12-E wala) are the ones from whom I expect the real critical comment. So cheers!!

nice post, catchy and gripping despite the fact that I am already the experienced of these 'hectic' days for one and a half years!

Man!!! Lot more hectic days awaiting in future :)

Writing style is nice, nice phrases used appropriately.

Sincere Advice: DONT WRITE ON SOCIAL TOPICS :P

I know I get quite adamant on some topics. I never ever change my views. But let me try!!
